About Orissa JEE Exam
R.E.C Rourkela was the first one to conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for the candidates of the state quota of Orissa in 1979. In 1979, there were only two engineering colleges in Orissa namely R.E.C Rourkela (Now NIT Rourkela) and University College of Engineering (U.C.E.), Burla. In later years CET Bhubaneswar, Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology (IGIT), Sarang and Institute of Textile Technology, Choudwar also involved since 1994. At that time JEE covered candidates for MBBS/BDS courses in S.C.B Medical College, Cuttack, Degree
- Courses Through Orissa JEE:
Orissa JEE conducts entrance exam for Engineering/Technology (B.Tech), Architecture (B.Arch), Medical courses(MBBS/BDS), Pharmacy, Hotel Management and Catering Technology etc. At present lots of institutes/colleges that offer courses in various disciplines including Engineering, Technology, Architecture, MBBS/BDS, Pharmacy, MBA, MCA and Hotel Management & Catering Technology joined the selection process via JEE for the state of Orissa..K.C.G. Medical College, Berhampur and V.S.S Medical College, Burla also.

- Orissa JEE (OJEE) Eligibility:
Engineering/Technology: To take admission to First Year Bachelor programme in Engineering/Technology you have passed or appearing in 10+2 examination of CHSE, Orissa or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, and one from Chemistry/ Computer Science/Biology/Biotechnology or pass in 10+3 diploma course in engineering including those having less than 60% marks in aggregate from SCTE&T, Orissa or equivalent.
Architecture: (i) Pass or appearing in 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2010 from a recognized Board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing minimum 50% marks in aggregate. OR
(ii) Pass in 10+3 diploma in any stream recognized by central/state govt. with 50% aggregate marks. Detailed qualification criteria Orissa JEE (Joint entrance examination) .
